It has been a busy couple of months, and unfortunately, the last thing on my "to-do" list is a blog. Now, I am back with lots to share!
I love being able to combine my skills of photography and non-profit. Many of you may not know that I hold a Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit Management and have several years experience working in higher education and local non-profits (more on that in the next blog post). I recently had the honor photographing some families at Amethyst Place, a local Kansas City non-profit. These kiddos really knew how to ham it up for the camera. They had the most genuine smiles and laughter.
Amethyst Place serves 50 - 60 families and over 100 children each year. The typical client is 30 years old, raising 2 children under 7 years old, with no more than a high school education, living on less than $10,000 per year. They recognize that some individuals may have had difficult times in the past, but allow them the resources and training to discover and share their talents. Please visit their website to learn more about the organization and to donate to help support programs which assist families with education, housing, life skills and counseling, allowing them to feel empowered to one day, independently, support their families. There are so many ways to donate to this wonderful organization, find yours whether it be through donating toiletries, school supplies, clothes, cleaning supplies, furniture, mentoring, time, by selecting them as your organization on Amazon Smile, or through Paypal donations.
Does your non-profit need an experienced photographer for marketing brochures or events? Given my unique combination of experience and photography skills, I am able to understand your organization's mission, your donors' expectations, evaluate your objectives, and provide a service to meet your organization's need.
